Baby and child safety around dogs educational session

This is the ideal course if you have children in the home, are expecting a baby or if you have grandchildren come to visit. Did you know that 2015-2018 saw a 5% increase in dog bites? And 21% of those dog bites were on under 18’s? My aim is to try and reduce this figure as much as possible by educating families. If you are pregnant I will show you how to help your dog prepare for the new arrival. If you have children I will sit with you all as a family and explain how to approach a dog, what to do and what not to do. In all sessions I will take you through basic canine body language that will help you spot if your dog is comfartable in the situation or not. When to interact with your dog and when to leave your dog to settle. I will also explain how to treat a dog bite if the worst does happen. This session will be tailored to you therefore a brief telephone call will take place beforehand. This is a 90 minute session in your home and you will recieve an eBook to download and keep afterwards

Due to current social distancing guidelines all educational sessions are currently being taught via Zoom.

If you have children that like craft and interacting with your dog why not take a look at my Enrichment session too!

Leanne has provided me with advice on numerous occasions about my dog, Tilly. From exercise, nutrition and how to ensure Tilly had no stress or anxiety when I’ve had my 2 children and how to help her prepare for their their arrival and bond once born. All of this has been done from a distance as I live in West Yorkshire but this has never proven an issue at all with the help of modern tech. Thank you so much Leanne”
